When designing this game I was tasked with coming up with a fresh new game, and so decided to design a game in VR that would make use of player spacial immersion and give the player the experience of seeing and interacting with a world through a different lens.

When designing Cyber Abyss it was imperative that the player was able to use the game’s main mechanic, in multiple ways and that they would gain flow state through the understanding of that mechanic.
While designing this game I believed that I could expand player immersion by giving the player such a unique way of seeing enemies and the environment that they would have to master the skills needed to move fluidly in the world. This skill would allow them to come up with creative ways to overcome challenges in unique and interesting ways.
Lastly, it was important that the player had the ability to believe that they are living in this city and are seeing things through the lens of the Main character.
